This topological toy comes from Japan. A thin strip of high tensile steel is made in the shape of a heart. But if you twist the narrow strip of steel so that the bend at the top of the heart turns the other way round, the whole shape changes dramatically. If you then do the same with the bend at the bottom turns the other way, you now have a heart shape again – but the heart of now upside down. However you have not turned the toy upside down. Flip the two bends again, and now your heart is the right way up again. Phew…!
