Grand Illusions was approached last year (2016) by George Finnamore, who at the time had just finished his second year studying model making at the Arts University Bournemouth, here in the UK.
He contacted us because the first project in his third year was a client led project, where he had to go out and find someone that needed a model, and then to build it for them to their specifications.
We agreed to be that ‘client’, and we had a number of meetings with George Finnamore, where Tim came up with three designs of toy that he was interested in having made, and we discussed how to approach them.
In February 2017, George returned with some advanced prototypes, and this film shows the meeting he had with Tim, where they demonstrate the three items.
We understand that George subsequently obtained first class honours for this section of the course, and we wish him well with the rest of his degree.
