At the Tokyo International Fire and Safety Show 2008, THK displayed their Base Isolation Table Model TSD which can be used to protect computer systems, medical instruments, pieces of art, and other fragile objects. The Base Isolation Table can support objects weighing from 30 to 800kg and can withstand a magnitude 6 earthquake.
Installation is simple and several tables can be connected to support large objects.
