We have visited FXAirguns at the Nuremburg IWA show several times now. These guys are probably THE most innovative airgun maker in the world, and we have deep respect for their work.
Therefore, we decided to visit them in one of their many offices around the globe in order to do some shooting. But of course we here at The Slingshot Channel are not interested in shooting lead pellets – we want to see those rifles shooting arrows!
That’s right, many of the models FXAirguns makes are capable of shooting arrows, with some serious force. This makes them so much more effective, actually you get the best of both worlds – the easy operation of an airgun plus the deadly effectiveness of a crossbow.
This video presents four models in total, showing theirt unique advantages. Accuracy (partially due to the absence of the fishtailing effect called “archer’s paradox”), silent operation, power, extremely compact sizes, and last not least cool looks!
These weapons are so accurate that it only took us about half an hour to achieve a double “Robin Hood”… an arrow splitting an arrow splitting an arrow (arrowception)! Such shots are extremely rare, very few of them ever got recorded live on camera.
The best part: This setup has the potential to exceed all records for arrow speed in the archery world. 500 fps plus is totally in reach!
For the German fans, it is also good to know that there is a chance that a “18+” version may become available in Germany, as a dedicated arrow shooter could slip through a loophole in German law. Legally, such a rifle is a crossbow… let us hope.
