After the success with the dart launcher, we wanted to take the drill powered machine gun concept one step further and built a two barrel 24 shot full auto rotational launcher for glass marbles.
The machine uses a rotor blade with a mag tube on each end. Dispensers fire exactly one shot when the pass the pulled trigger bar, which means that each turn of the blade fires two shots. With the full speed of the drill (800 rpm), this would mean a theoretical fire rate of 1600 shots per minute – well over most modern firearms.
Because of heavy rains, no outside tests could be done, so the shots in this video aren’t made with the full speed of the drill. But the effect is impressive nonetheless. See for yourself!
