Published on January 7, 2018

It seems in the world of .357 semi-auto pistols one name has reigned supreme: the big, heavy Desert Eagle. But the Coonan 1911 in .357 emerges as a challenger. We’ll start the discussion with a needed POU perspective. What would you use this thing for? This is a big gun that I would not want to integrate into a carry system. Surprising developments emerged with the use of full power .357 provided by Federal Ammo and Gunnies. In the end we’ll consider if buying this expensive SS 1911, also available in 10mm and .45 ACP, is worth it.
