TECNO Mobile unveils selfie-centric ‘Camon I’

Smartphone consumers consider the quality of a device’s front camera as one of the most important features these days. Therefore, with an objective to satisfy these changing requirements of consumers, an increasing number of technology giants are integrating their innovations with a selfie-centric approach.

TECNO Mobile unveils selfie-centric ‘Camon I’

Joining the bandwagon is Hong Kong-based Transition Holdings’ subsidiary, TECNO Mobile. The smartphone manufacturer recently unveiled their latest selfie-centric handset that goes by the name of ‘Camon I.’ As described by The Hans, this is the first of its kind under TECNO Mobile’s ‘Camon Series’ to come with such a feature.

Let’s talk about the specifications

On the specifications front, the TECNO Camon I smartphone sports a 5.65-inch HD Plus display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and support for IPS technology. The smartphone is further powered by MediaTek’s 6737H Quad-Core 1.3GHz processor. On the storage front, the handset offers 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of inbuilt memory.

According to the report by Hans, the Camon I smartphone is going to be available for sale in leading retail outlets, starting February this year. Camera wise, the smartphone goes on to feature a 13-megapixel front shooter with Dual Flash along with a 13-megapixel rear sensor with Quad-LED flash support. The device offers a wide angle 80-degree selfies, with screen flash and LED flash. The rear camera with 4X flash is optimised with ‘Night Shot Algorithm’ to make images brighter in low-light conditions,”

“The key focus area central to our India strategy for 2018 is ‘Camera-centric’ smartphones line-up enabled with Full View display. ‘Camon I’ will play a vital role in bolstering TECNO’s India growth story,” Lin Qin, Vice President, TRANSITION Holdings, said in a statement. “With Camon series in our portfolio, we are certain that TECNO will soon make it to the Top 5 smartphone brands in India market,” Qin added.
