“Taser C2: Drop Them In Their Tracks” by Nutnfancy04:33

The Taser C2 gives great piece of mind. It is one of the most effective non-lethal self-defense options being produced. Called an ECD or Electronic Compliance Device, it does not rely upon the infliction of pain to produce effects. Several other, still-good but possessing drawbacks, non-lethal defense options do: collapsible baton, pepper spray, martial arts, Mace, and other impact/joint lock devices. Instead the Taser technology uses Nueromuscular Incapacitation or NMI to drop Mr. Bad Guy. It really doesn’t matter if he’s motivated, drugged up, a champion fighter, big, bad or burly…dude’s going down. The C2 short circuits his electrical system on which he runs his sensory and motor functions. Without proper electrical impulses and messaging, the muscles shut down and Mr Bad Guy will fall to the ground helpless. The Taser C2 accomplishes this with two mini harpoon-like stainless steel barbs that embed in the skin. Upon contact the C2 administers substantial “shaped energy pulses” to drop the adversary and then keep him on the ground. The pulses from the C2 last for 30 seconds…a lifetime if you’re the one getting hit! Probes are individually capable of penetrating 1″ of clothing to make contact. Probe divergence is recommended for maximum effectiveness and 1 foot of divergence is achieved for every 7 ft of distance. Rapid reloads are also possible with the C2: either let the entire 30 sec cycle complete or you can close to the “safety cover) to shut off the C2 and then reload. Primary incapacitation is accomplished by NMI and the probes but the C2 also has a secondary “drive stun” capability: with cartridge REMOVED two probes will arc out and impressive and painful electrical arc. The lithium “power magazine” has impressive duration (50 30 firings), quality, and reliability. In normal use, you should only need one battery for your C2 (probably good to have an extra in storage though). Get the version with built in laser for added deterrence. All models also incorporate a built-in low power LED illuminator which is sufficient to the unit’s 15 foot range (also adequate for the 8.2 ounce, slim form factor of the C1). Amazingly, the Taser C2 is enjoys wider legality than the other discussed non-lethal alternatives: it ain’t no gun, it’s an ECD and quite non-lethal (rare instances of Taser deaths show the subject with pre-existing medical complications). Registeration of your C2 at www.taser.com will be necessary to unlock its use (cartridges are usually registered to you by the dealer). A felony background check using a third party is accomplished by Taser during registration. Other C2 upsides include: a standoff capability that other options lack, simplicity of use (very little training required), proven track record, and being a viable option for those not ready or willing to for gun carriage/responsibility. Build quality is also excellent; this is not some hokey stun gun you’ll find at a swap meet. It inherits the long-proven design and technology of Taser products in uses with LE since 1998. Cost is much less than in years past but is still substantial. But value for what you get and the piece of mind you will have is worth it, especially if you can score a deal on it (Use www.firearmspro.com and use Code ‘nutnfancy’ for 15% off!). Tough, reliable, lightweight, and easy to use the Taser C2 provides impressive non-lethal take down capabilities that makes it a top choice. ////////////////////////// Nutnfancy Likablity Scale: 9.5 out of 10

Deaths attributed to Tasers are way overblown, usually involved compromising health conditions, and represent minuscule percentages of the system’s employment. It is an application of protectionist language which seeks to label all self-defense items as DANGEROUS and it is idiocy. By huge margins, the Taser is non-lethal item that prevents deaths, not causing them. If it were not so, it would have been eliminated from US police holsters over a decade ago.
