Dumb. I was trying to put a microSIM card into a brand new BlackBerry Bold 9900 via a microSIM adapter. I wasn’t sure if the adapter would fit though, so before I put it my microSIM into the adapter I just inserted the adapter into the BlackBerry.
With no SIM inserted, the contact pins pushed up through the hole in the adapter and jammed. Totally screwed. I eventually got the adapter unstuck, but two of the contact pins ripped out of the phone. No go, Joe.
Lesson? Be careful when playing with microSIMs and BBs.
