At CES 2013 we got our first glimpse at SteelSeries Non Mechanical keyboard gaming entries the Apex and Apex [Raw]. We now have the Apex [Raw] in our possession, first off I can tell you this $69.99 priced keyboard truly is a fun wonder. The Apex [RAW] strategically combine an adjusted layout with key enhancements that bring fluidity to the way the user moves around the keyboard. Raised macro-keys along the top and left side, which provide faster and more precise macro-combinations. You also have got addition of two small tactile bumps on the W-key to provide a faster return to WASD.
An enlarged space bar and added directional keys that support features that improve comfort and reaction time. the keyboard also comes with 8 illumination level, though in one color option (white). But the illumination provides a soft back-lighting to the keyboard. There are swappable rubber feet for the most comfortable angle, and anti-ghosting of up to 20 key presses, plus full support for SteelSeries software engine

Performance: how does the keyboard feel while gaming? To my delight, as someone who is adamant about mechanical keyboard. The Apex [Raw] was a true pleasure, response time was excellent and event he bumps on WASD provided rather useful while gaming. I do use macros much, SteelSeries Software Engine does a fantastic job in setting up marcos and profiles with ease. So for the pro or entry level games this is a smooth experiencing. I can honestly say that the SteelSeries Apex [Raw] is a true starting point for any gamer looking for a keyboard that bring functionality, performances and some style
