This magnetic craft toy has been made in Germany for many years. It consists of a main metal spiral, which can be stood upright on a plastic base, or held in the hands. And then there is the spinning magnetic top, that can be made to move up and down the spiral. The top is quite heavy, and so has quite a bit of inertia, which makes some of the moves possible. Some of the ways of spinning the top have only been discovered recently.
