In this video, we are testing out the new Advanced Triple Curve (ATC) AR500 plate from Spartan Armor Systems. This particular plate is a Level III plate which can stand up to .308 rifle threats, however we are only testing pistol threats on the plate today to demonstrate the excellent anti-spalling capabilities of the coating after multiple hits. We know that anything we throw at it today isn’t going to make it through, but you never know when it comes to redneck science. Stay tuned for testing of this plate with rifle threats in the near future as well as the newest Level IV composite plate from Spartan Armor Systems.
