SpaceX’s full size ‘Starhopper’ prototype vehicle performed a successful takeoff and landing. The spacecraft performed its test from SpaceX’s Boca Chica, TX launch pad.

According to Elon Musk, the next thing to do is perform several more short hops before doing a ‘high altitude’ test. The NASASpaceflight YouTube stream that captured the test is available for review. If you wanna go straight to the test then skip to 1:14, and see the hop.

You can find official video with shots from a drone and cameras that are mounted on the Starship SN5 body. This is just the first in a long line of tests that will help refine Starship. Don’t miss SpaceX’s SAOCOM 1B mission scheduled for late august.
