NASA Public Affairs Officer Nicole Cloutier Lemasters talks with Dr. Sandra Moore, a spacewalk specialist at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, about preparing International Space Station crew members for spacewalks. Some of those spacewalks don’t take place until months after the astronauts arrive on orbit, so the protocols include training astronauts to perform the type of tasks that are useful on spacewalks in general in addition to working through the entire timeline of a scheduled assembly task.
