This solution is working for many of you. But in my original video I suggested smacking that bad boy on your table top. Unfortunately some of you got the phone working but now with a cracked/shattered screen. So from many comments many people smacked their phones on their palms and knees. It just seems logical to try this first. Some have also played with the power button..wiggling and giggling it, pushing in and out fiercely, etc. Also some have opened their phones and played with the power button inside. We all know it has something to do with a stuck power button. Of course if your phone is still not working after these above methods and you are just frustrated, then I think its time for a good smack on the table. Smack if lightly then insert the battery and if no go, take battery back out again and smack it a little harder. Keep doing this in increments. Note: I not responsible if your phone breaks.

Original description from August 11, 2013:
Today i had major issues on my Samsung S3. I pick up my phone and it dies right away. Sometimes it constantly reboots itself. Then after trying numerous attempts to get it to boot up it would stay on a black screen, or get to the Samsung logo, or a little further before the phone shut off again. Sometimes i could feel it vibrating like it wanted to started up and it was a continuous cycle. I thought it was a the battery at first, then i thought maybe a software issue. I tried everything from holding down buttons, menu, volume, power, in just about every combination on the planet. Well when i got home from work i thought that i do some quick DD (due diligence). After a few minutes of reading about reset, factory restore, safe mode crap i come across this one website where it seemed some folks fixed these phone by simply hitting the side of the phone where the power button is. It worked for me, thumbs up if it works, and thumbs down if it doesn’t work for you.

If smacking your phone does not work you may want to try a battery switch. This has helped some:

If you are having issues with the phone freezing several times a day then try this method:

If this banging/smacking the phone video does not work you may have to do a factory reset (not a hardware problem).
