Silly Putty (the real stuff not that Elmers glue snot) doesn’t blend with other materials UNLESS you add dimethicone. Dimethicone is an expensive cosmetics ingredient. BUT I’ve experimented with a cheap source: RC Car shock oil. Mixing various proportions of Dimethicone to Silly Putty allows you to modify the properties and add additional solids like sand or iron powder. Iron powder makes the compound respond to magnetic fields!
