Make sure to Watch Part 1 first.

This is Part 2.
American Locomotive Company’s Largest Operating Steam Locomotive passed through Sibley Iowa today.

“Challenger” (No.3985) is on a 1,750 mile, 5 state tour that will end back in St. Paul Minnesota, where it began 16 days ago. It was built in 1943, and it was an amazing machine to watch, as you will see in this video.

Here is the link for the Specs and history.

Part 1 shows the 1931 Ike’s Ford Model A and the Locomotive and train from a different perspective, so be sure to watch.

This video was shot by Ike Adreon, driving the “1931 Ford Model A cam.”

We felt like we were in the old days of Bonnie and Clyde or Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid.
It was exciting and we hope you enjoy this wild ride with Ike in the Model A.

One of the neatest websites from Union Pacific is this one on how the Big Boy engines work with a virtual steam locomotive in action. It’s very neat to visit this.
