We dropped by the Desert Tech Booth to check out the new MDR rifle and R7S Chassis System for the Remington 700. These products are still in the prototype stage and will be further developed over the course of the year. The MDR or Micro Dynamic Rifle is a great concept with unique features including a more familiar manual of arms, patented forward ejection technology, quick caliber conversions not only between the standard 5.56 NATO, 6.8 SPC, 300 Blackout, 6.5 Grendel, but also 308 Winchester. If the price point of this rifle stays in the sub $3000 range we could definitely have some stiff competition in the bullpup market.
