POPPED DOWN THE PATCH AND FILMED JACK AND HIS DAD DAVID AS THEY TOOK UP THEIR SCRATCH BUILT BRIAN TAYLOR PLAN BUILT PHOTO RECONNAISSANCE MK19 SPITFIRE OF THE FAR EAST AIRFORCE,

SHE WAS FLOWN BY JACK WHILE HIS DAD WAS THE CHIEF ENGINEER FOR THE DAY !
SHE IS POWERED BY AN OS BRUSHLESS MOTOR DRAWING 60 AMPS AND USES TWO 5000 MAH 4 CELL LIPOS = 8 CELL,
THE SOUND GENERATOR IS MADE BY BENEDINI SOUND SYSTEM,
THE MECHANICAL RETRACTS ARE FROM UNITRACTS,

Built from the Brian Taylor Spitfire Mk 14/19 plan, (69 inch span version), using the Brian Taylor fibreglass cowl and carb, canopy and spinner.
All up flying weight: 12 pounds. (Includes batteries and sound system).
Motor: OS OMA-5025-375.
Propeller: 15 x 8 in, JXF wood.
ESC: Jeti Spin pro 99 opto.
Battery: Overlander 60C, 5000 mA/Hr, 4S x 2. (8S).
4Max, 1000mA/Hr, 3S, for sound system. (consumes 500mA/Hr for a 10min flight).
Current: 62 Amps full throttle. Cruises nicely at 30Amps.
Sound: Benedini, one Visaton speaker.
Retracts: Unitracts mechanical, Spitfire 69in.
Servos: 4 x Hitec HS85MG, (flaps, aileron).
2 x Hitec HS635HB, (elevator, rudder).
1x Spektrum A7000 main retract.
1 x Supertec 136GH tailwheel.
2 x micro for the radiator shutters.
Radio: Jeti.

Nice handling with a mild left wing drop at stall. CG as per BT recommended. Typically landing at the 4000mA/Hr consumed telemetry warning gives around a 10 min flight.
