Scaling with Go: YouTube’s Vitess

Vitess is a set of servers and tools primarily developed in Go. It’s meant to facilitate scaling of MySQL databases for the web. It’s currently used as a fundamental component of YouTube’s MySQL infrastructure.

The talk will cover how Vitess solved YouTube’s scalability problems, and tips and techniques used to scale using Go.
