In this tutorial, I’ll be showing you how to black out pixels to save battery life on your AMOLED device. This app is an alternative to the now-defunct “Pixel Battery Saver” app, which was sold by its initial developer.
This method will only help save battery life on devices with AMOLED screens, so this will likely not help unless you own a Samsung device, a Moto X, or a Nexus 6.
