Published on December 29, 2017

Samsung had a splendid 2017 and is currently gearing up for an even better 2018. If rumors turn out to be true, the South-Korean technology is planning on debuting its Galaxy S9 line-up in the first half of next year. In fact, the Galaxy S9 will probably mark Samsung’s first major release in 2018. The speculated flagship will be Galaxy S8’s successor. Therefore, it is natural for Samsung to feel immense pressure for it as S8 did pretty good. Even though, Samsung hasn’t confirmed any information as yet; there are a lot of speculations and rumors surrounding this highly-anticipated piece of innovation.

As noted by Daily Star, let’s take a look at the top rumors regarding the Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphone.

Release Date

The release date for Samsung’s Galaxy S9 smartphone is perhaps the only area that changes less frequently in terms of rumors and speculations. The strongest speculation went on to claim that Samsung’s Galaxy S9 smartphone would be getting unveiled at the Mobile World Congress event. The annual event is scheduled to take place between February 26th and March 1st 2018. On the basis of tradition, Samsung has always opted to reveal new products at MWC. Therefore, this does not come across as a surprise.

Design

Unfortunately, there is nothing exciting in this specific department. Majority of the predictions lead to one conclusion only, i.e. Galaxy S9 smartphone will be the same as Galaxy S9 in terms of design, except for a few tweaks here and there. “The renders show that while the phone will look near identical to its predecessor from the front, it’ll sport an upgrade dual-lens camera round the back, alongside a repositioned fingerprint scanner,” reports The Inquirer.

Price

No information regarding this matter has shown up online, however, most expect the handset to cost around £689 and £779 SIM-free.
