This is a speedtest between two of Samsung’s midrange devices the Samsung Galaxy J5 we unboxed recently and the Samsung Galaxy A5. The devices have certain similarities and differences in specifications, but the question is who would win from J5 and A5 in a speed test.

One main difference in the phones is that in the Galaxy J5, the back is removable while in the Galaxy A5 it’s not. And the J5’s back is also made of a new hard glossy plastic which was not seen in other Samsung devices. Although the A5 feels nice and classier it would have been great if the back was removable. The build size is similar but the Galaxy J5 has more rounded corners.

Difference in the startup duration was only marginal and can be ignored. The UIs also have some slight differences in the design. The emergency mode of the Galaxy A5 has several more options than that of the J5.App opening, even the Google play store took similar loading times. Looking at the speeds it can be assumed that the devices probably perform very similarly in apps and games.

As the two devices J5 vs A5 has many similar specifications like the camera, display and also performs at equal speeds it’s somewhat hard for you to choose one out of the two. But the removable back might just play a major role in deciding the winner.
