Samsung in an effort to expand its budget smartphone segment has officially taken the wraps off its Galaxy J2 Pro (2018) version. The latest smartphone from the South Korean consumer electronics giant is only available in Vietnam as of now. It is still uncertain whether the smartphone will eventually make it to other markets. According to a report published by Gadgets 360, the price of the smartphone has been set somewhere around VND 3,290,00 – which roughly translates to approximately Rs 9,200 Indian rupees. Interested purchasers can access the offline retailers to purchase the Galaxy J2 Pro (2018) smartphone.

Samsung has introduced its latest Galaxy J2 Pro (2018) in three primary color variants, which include Black, Blue, and Gold. The South Korean technology giant is also looking towards introducing a metallic finish. The smartphone’s main highlight is its display, which is powered by a Super AMOLED panel.

On the specifications front, the dual-SIM, Micro card-supporter Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro (2018) smartphone runs on the considerably old Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with the company’s proprietary UI skin on top. On the display front, the smartphone features a 5-inch QHD display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution. In comparison to its predecessor, which featured an HD 720 x 1280 pixels, it sort of is an upgrade.

The smartphone is further powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, which when coupled with a 1.5GB of RAM suffices the requirements of the user. On the camera front, the smartphone packs an 8-megapixel rear camera with Flash along with a 5-megapixel front snapper with f/2.2 aperture and an individual Flash Module.

The Galaxy J2 Pro (2018) offers 16GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB 2.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
