These Russian soldiers are coming home from Syria just in time for Putin’s reelection campaign.
Putin has approved a partial withdrawal from the war-torn country, saying the troops fought “brilliantly” and should feel “victorious.”
The Kremlin has presented this move as proof that its mission in Syria has been a success, just ahead of the elections.
