This unusual toy was made in Russia in the mid 1990s. The wind up hand unit can be used to launch the rotor blade into the air. Alternatively it can be used to spin the top. However this is more than just a spinning top – you are supposed to launch the top onto the maze, and then navigate the top by tipping the maze in different directions, until the top ends up in one of the small holes around the edge of the maze. You can then read off your score, since every hole has a number next to it.
So a double function toy, and a game of skill as well.
