RQ-11 Raven UAV Drone – Hand Thrown Launch & Break-apart Landing.

Published on November 16, 2017

Members of the 594th Transportation Co. from Fort Campbell, KY train on how to operate the RQ-11 Raven which is a small hand thrown UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.) The UAV is used to help secure routes, by ensuring the areas ahead and behind are clear of threats. When the Raven lands on the ground it’s designed to break apart into several pieces, which helps absorb the impact energy of the landing. Video by Staff Sgt.
