Finally, a robot to take care of our butts. Its name? Robutt. (For real.)

This robotic arm is testing Ford’s seats, hoping to make driving more comfortable. The automaker tested how people get in and out of cars, using pressure sensors on the driver’s seat. The Robutt then mimicked the motion of a large person sitting down and repeated it 25,000 times during the course of three weeks, mimicking about 10 years of use.

Ford will use the data to perfect the Fiesta’s seats, ensuring drivers’ butts are well looked after. And it’s all thanks to its big-bottomed robot helper.
