The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was originally recalled shortly after launch due to reports of the Galaxy Note 7’s battery catching fire and exploding. Samsung soon released what they said was a fixed version to replace the defective units. However, even the replacement Galaxy Note 7 units began to catch fire, though supposedly only in Korea. After news of this, Samsung abandoned their flagship smartphone, and issued a final recall of all units for a refund. They will not be producing any more replacements.
