What’s up Nerdgasm fans! RAV Power was nice enough to send me their Qi wireless charging pad for my ASUS Nexus 7 (works with all Qi compatible wireless charging devices & device cases) and I have to say I am in love. The device is cheap at $29 compared to buying other brand name wired wall chargers and it comes with everything you need and works perfectly as advertised. I am going to try and come up with a project to counter sync multiple of these chargers into my desk so I can just lay all my devices around the desk to charge them. I think this would be beyond cool! Charging using this method is a little slower then charging directly from the wall but in my opinion it is worth it since you can easily return the device to its charging state each time you’re done using it. Also I’ve only tried this with the ASUS Nexus 7 and it works really well but I would imagine different devices have different charging efficiency depending on the coils in them, etc.

Q) Does it charge slower then wired
A) Yes, but the difference will change from device to device
Q) Does it use more power then direct cable?
A) Yes, but the amount is pretty negligible IMO.
