The Slingshot Channel brings to you another innovation: A crossbow that uses rubber bands as energy source. This lightweight (1,1 kg) weapon fires 16 mm lead balls at 194 km/h, and 15 mm steel balls fly at 245 km/h! 39 Joules of energy, several times more than a common air rifle.

Because stretched out rubber tires very quickly, the weapon can be carried preloaded with relaxed bands. Then shortly before the shot, the fork is pushed forwards and slides to its end position.

Because of the sliding fork, loading the rifle is safe and fast.
