In this video we compare the Portrait Mode (a.k.a Live Focus on the Galaxy Note 8 and Depth Effect on the OnePlus 5) shots clicked by the new Apple iPhone 8 Plus, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and the OnePlus 5.
Of course since this is a blind test, you won’t know which phone shot which picture, unless you’re a pro 😉
Here in this comparison we take into account how the cameras fare with regards to sharpness, detail, edge detection, skin tones, etc.
The iPhone 8 Plus and the Galaxy Note 8 use two 12 Megapixel cameras to the back, while the OnePlus 5 uses a 16 Megapixel Primary camera and a 20 Megapixel secondary camera.
The secondary camera on these phones utilize a telephoto lens, allowing for depth sensing for synthesizing bokeh effects.
