Information about this experiment :
A reproduction of a complicated electrostatic charge multiplier described by Pfaff and Svanberg by 1846, and practically unknown today. Each cycle of touches at one side of the device triplicates the electrical charges in the plates. After a few cycles natural charge imbalances are multiplied enough to make sparks.
