Lisa Gade reviews the Origin PC EON17-SLX a desktop replacement and gaming laptop with an Intel 8th Gen 6 Core Coffee Lake desktop CPU inside. The notebook is available with your choice of a single NVIDIA GTX 1070 or GTX 1080 or two of either of those cards in SLI. As you might guess, this is one of the more powerful consumer computers on the market, desktop or laptop. It’s available with up to 64GB DDR4 RAM, a variety of M.2 SSDs and 2.5” HDDs or SSDs, and a full HD or 100% Adobe RGB wide gamut 4K display (both matte and supporting G-Sync). It features SoundBlaster audio, 2 Killer E2500 ethernet ports, Killer WiFi and two Thunderbolt 3 ports. It’s based on the Clevo P870TM and is assembled in the US by Origin PC.
