For the 2016 national park centennial, National Geographic photographer Jonathan Irish went on assignment for FUJIFILM and National Geographic Traveler to explore, discover, and photograph in all 59 of the U.S. national parks in one year. Over 45K miles driven, an emergency bush plane landing in Alaska, two flat tires, and countless other crazy experiences, it was an epic and difficult assignment. But it was also filled with some of the most beautiful scenery, incredible hiking, and amazing camping spots under the stars. Come hear a fun and inspiring talk about dreaming big, successfully pitching a year long story, and going on assignment on this epic adventure discovering our nation’s greatest treasures: our National Parks.
