Kukris are a favorite cutter of mine. The forward heft, the swing, the feel are empowering. Especially up in the mountains. A favorite remains the Cold Steel Gurkha Kukri, reviewed in TNP circa 2010 or so. It is nearly flawless…except for price. The CS Kukir is around $200 or so. Enter the Ontario Kukri reviewed here. It offers similar cutting performance for just $55. That’s right. In several outings in snow and sun, the Ontario Kukri proved to be excellent; video proof and details in the video. A reasonable weight, 1095 steel, powder coating, Kraton grip, and so-so ballistic nylon sheath are in the mix for this USA Produced fixed blade by Ontario. POUs are discussed with special emphasis on killing zombie and the movie Resident Evil: Extinction and Alice’s double Nepalese Kukris used with good effect (sci fi license granted). Other TNP favored large survival knives also shown, discussed. You won’t find a better Kukri at this price anywhere. Way to go OKC.//////////////////////////////Nutnfancy Likability Scale: 10 out of 10; buy at www.ridgeknifeshop.com or BHQ as shown shown on my Channel pages
