OnePlus 6 get OxygenOS 5.1.9 update, improved camera quality

OnePlus 6 was launched in May 2018, and soon it will be receiving the Google Lens functionality. This update is said to be a part of the OxygenOS 5.1.9 software build, and the company claims that it will be bringing some significant camera improvements to the Google Lens functionality to the native camera app.

This new OxygenOS 5.1.9 promises to bring improvements to the clarity, edge detection in portrait mode, dynamic range and overall accuracy with speed.  Earlier, the OnePlus smartphones don’t have a great camera, but the company is now steadily improving the camera experience of the OnePlus. The camera of the OnePlus 6 has got a score of 96 from DxOMark, and it is based on the May 2018 launch software. Earlier, the company has already released some of the updates for the camera of the smartphones which also changes the image processing, and it believes in the constant refining of its smartphone experience.

The company said that the Google Lens functionality will now be available on the OnePlus 6’s camera app which is a part of the OTA. When it comes to the image quality, DXOMark had noted that the OnePlus 6 has got a fast and accurate autofocus, bright and vivid colors and a good detail preservation capabilities. OxygenOS 5.1.9 also builds the experience, and it is said to improve the clarity, dynamic range, edge protection in the portrait mode which comes in focusing speed and accuracy.

The Google Lens Mode usually uses the phone camera to give information about the objects with the help of the machine learning to provide more details and can provide relevant tags. This camera can also be used to scan QR codes and can be used the image recognition tool to get the information about the things which includes buildings, books, and works of art.

OnePlus has got a vertical dual-camera setup which is present at the rear which features a 16-MP Sony IMX 519 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, OIS+EIS main and a 20 MP Sony IMX 376K sensor with a f/1.7 aperture for the secondary camera. The images that are shot on the OnePlus 6 can retain the fine details with great color reproduction and the portrait mode of the phone has got the bokeh effect which works smoothly.

When you swipe up from the bottom, it will show some more camera options like Pro Mode, time-lapse, Slow motion, and panorama. The Pro mode helps in low-light photography. The camera can record the slow-motion videos at 720p resolution at 480 frames per second.
