Germany produces many wooden toys, and this wooden coat hook which Tim bought at the Nuremberg toy fair has an ingenious mechanism.
At the front is a peg to hang your coat on. At the back, the mechanism is spring loaded, due to the presence of a rubber band. When you hang your coat on the peg, the egg opens a little way, to reveal a chicken. A good way of encouraging youngsters to hang their coat up maybe!
When you remove your coat, the mechanism snaps shut, and the chicken can go back to sleep.
