=== This Week’s Qs ===

Question 1:

Hi all,
I was wondering what you guys think about the direction in which the future of PC is heading, especially in regards to gaming. Do you think AMD’s approach of giving developers ‘better’ software for them to use, or NVIDIA’s approach of using hardware, ie G-SYNC, with existing tech?

While i believe a blend of both would be the best, which do you think is the “step” in the right direction?

Thanks guys.

Sincerely,

-Philip

Question 2:

Hi,

With the introduction of retina/4K many say that we may have peaked as far as resolution is concerned.
as a greater resolution couldn’t be registered with a human eye. I’m wondering what this
means for the future of discreet graphics cards as once a suitable frame-rate has been achieved for
these resolutions the only refinement that can be made is the same technology in a smaller package.
In your opinion, could this be why AMD have opted to focus on Kaveri and other APU research as
opposed to CPU production?

I thought Paul would have an opinion as he displayed a great deal of knowledge about ATI/AMDs history and how the technology has grown during his description of graphics cards in this video

Which i very much enjoyed thank you.

Thank you for reading and I hope to hear your thoughts on this.
