Samsung surely is working towards the launch of its Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus smartphones. The 2018 flagship offerings are expected to be unveiled sometime this month. In a recent turn of events, newer renders have emerged online which gives users a glimpse into what they can expect in the upcoming smartphone.

According to a report published by The Mobile Indian, citing information obtained from the Chinese social media platform, Weibo, the renders apparently showcase the front as well as the back panel of the Galaxy S9 smartphone. On the basis of these renders, it can be gathered that the handset pretty much sports the same design as its predecessor, Galaxy S8 smartphone.

The only major difference in the smartphone is that it features a higher screen-to-body ratio and slightly narrower bezels, in comparison to the 2016 Galaxy S8 smartphone. The surprising part is that the Galaxy smartphones end up packing dual camera systems on both, the rear as well as the front panel.

The left-hand side of the device features the power on/off button along with volume controls. The right-hand side of the smartphone packs a Bixby button. There is a single rear camera on the back panel and the fingerprint scanning feature is located right below it. Samsung was sensible enough to situate it a little further, which helps them avoid incessant brushing of fingers over it.

In the past, Samsung’s Galaxy S9 was trending online for being speculated to be integrated with an iris scanning feature on the front camera. The Galaxy S9 Plus, on the other hand, comes along with an iris scanning feature along with a front facing the camera as well. The handset might come packed with Exynos 9810 chipset that is built on the 10nm process.
