AMD has released their brand new “Ryzen” line of CPUs, which they have built from the ground up in order to take on Intel’s highest end processors. AMD has gained a reputation for not having great processors, and would typically be used for budget builds. However, in their recent announcement of the “Ryzen 7” tier CPUs, they claim to match or outperform Intel’s top CPUs, at half the price. This could be huge for anyone interested in building computers, whether for PC gaming or content creation. It could also disrupt the CPU industry altogether.
