Exercise Saber Strike 17 is an annual combined-joint exercise conducted at various locations throughout the Baltic region and Poland. The combined training prepares allies and partners to respond more to regional crises and meet their own security needs by improving the security of borders and countering threats.

Saber Strike is a long-standing U.S. Army Europe-led cooperative training exercise that helps facilitate cooperation amongst the U.S., Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and allied and partner nations.

The exercise will take place in multiple locations throughout Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland May 28-June 24.

Exercise Noble Jump 17 – Forces from a number of NATO countries deploy a significant numbers of soldiers, vehicles and helicopters to Romania from May 30 – June 22, 2017 to test the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) concept.

Exercise Noble Jump 17 is a logistical challenge that will test the ability of all the participants to deliver a fighting force to wherever it is needed. The movements will all be controlled by NATO’s Multi-National Division South East HQ, based in Bucharest. The VJTF is kept on short notice to move and is able to deploy a powerful well trained force within days. This year, it is being led by the UK’s 20 Armoured Brigade. Overseeing the VJTF’s training at Cincu will be a combination of Joint Force Command Naples, Multi-National division South East and the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps.
