USS Carl Vinson Strike Group and USS Ronald Reagan Strike Group and Japan Maritime Self Defense Force sail together in the Sea of Japan. Together, the two strike groups represent the most powerful concentration of naval power anywhere currently on earth. It is rare for the U.S. military to deploy two aircraft carriers simultaneously in a single theater abroad.
