The ‘Greedy Cup’ is typically made of clay or china, and does not reveal the siphon mechanism inside; however this example is made from glass, and shows how the internal siphon will completely empty the glass, if you fill it above a certain level.

The ‘show off’ stein is a version of the German glass used for drinking beer. They are typically very large, and contain a lot of beer. This trick version appears to be large, but in fact only holds a small amount of beer. This is achieved by having a large glass hollow bulb within the stein, which takes up most of the volume.

Tim then demonstrates an old fashioned champagne glass, with a long hollow stem, which causes a stream of bubbles to rise up in the middle of your drink.

Finally one of the oldest glasses in Tim’s collection – the dribble cup! This has little slots cut into it, hidden within the design. When you rasie the glass to your lips, the liquid runs out of the little slots, and dribbles everywhere.
