In this video, let’s Pit the OnePlus 5 with Xiaomi’s new flagship, the Mi Mix 2, in a speedtest under different scenarios to see which performs better.
Both phones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chip. While the OnePlus 5 comes in two variants – 6GB RAM, 64GB Internal Storage & 8GB RAM, 128GB Internal Storage, the Mi Mix 2 comes in only one variant – with 6GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage.
We are using the 8 Gb variant of the OnePlus 5 and 6 Gb variant of the Mi Mix 2 in this speedtest.
Both phones are factory reset before the speedtest and they are connected to the same wireless network.
The OnePlus 5 runs on Oxygen OS 4.5, which is very much close to Stock Android, while the Mi Mix 2 runs on MIUI 8.5 – a heavy skin with tons of features. Both are based on Android 7 Nougat.
The Mi Mix 2 sports a near bezelless design up front with a 5.99″ Full HD IPS LCD display and a beautiful ceramic back, while the OnePlus 5 has anodized aluminium all over it with a 5.5″ Optic AMOLED display up front.
