Many viewers have asked us to interact mercury with a non-Newtonian fluid like corn starch and water. I’ve lost count how many asked. No one has ever demonstrated what happens, so we decided to give it a try.
Check out my huge Mercury Playlist!
Mercury is a toxic heavy metal that is has amazing properties like remaining a liquid above -40C, a very high density, and a extremely high surface tension that can almost be equated to a skin. We use safety gear like gloves and respirators and are qualified to work with hazardous materials and potential spills. Don’t try our experiments yourself unless you know what you are doing.
