MBDA – CVS302 Hoplite Land/Naval-Launched Precision UAV Missile System Combat Simulation [480p]

Published on May 24, 2017

Pioneering indirect fire weapon system designed for the complex 2035 battle space.

• CV 2013 rapid automatic planning minimises workload by providing engagement solutions to operator
• Agile mission control and fast, low-flying missiles vastly reduce the need to clear an air corridor, cutting response times
• Two missiles deliver overall capability and can be matched to mission complexity, increasing load-out flexibility and reducing mission cost
• Innovative propulsion allows supersonic flight and subsonic dwell for operator in the loop targeting

Step change in organic fire support capability for land and sea forces

• Compact launcher implementing Soft Vertical Launch (SVL) provides a fast response and is platform agnostic
• Survivable missiles operate in hostile airspace while launchers are protected by non-ballistic trajectories
• Mixed missile salvos coordinate their own attacks on multiple targets for maximum effectiveness
• One shot one kill simplifies operations, reduces collateral damage risk and reduces mission cost

Hoplite-S – Utility missile for simple, supported engagements

An air-turbo-rocket propelled missile navigates through contested / congested airspace. Its versatile LADAR seeker also tracks designators & provides covert altimeter / fuzing functions. The missile can receive 3rd party mission updates and be targeted by Hoplite-L in coordinated strikes. The penetrator warhead is accelerated by the airframe to defeat hard targets and to tune fragment effects.

120kg; Ø 180mm x 3200mm; Mach 1.5-3.5; 160 km range

Hoplite-L – High capability missile for complex, isolated engagements

The same air-turbo-rocket propulsion as Hoplite-S also allows deceleration for OITL targeting via 2-way datalink. Its multi-mode seeker is robust to complex target environments & countermeasures with up to 30km detection. A boosted penetrator warhead defeats all targets with tuneable effects from all flight speeds. It directs mixed salvo strikes by datalink and laser.

135kg; Ø 180mm x 3750mm; Mach 0.6-3+; 140 km range

Mission Control

This collates and displays external ISTAR and battlespace planning information in one location. Operation times are vastly reduced by providing rapid route planning and decision support. Terminal trajectories are calculated based on lethality and collateral
damage estimates. The commander receives a choice of engagement options each optimised for different priorities such as time to target & probability of kill. A laptop sized unit governs multiple launchers and can be collocated with artillery C4I / ship ops. room or with launcher. Fan Funding : PayPal : [email protected]. Thanks a lot for your support! 🙂
