In this tutorial, I will be showing you how to make a Nandroid backup without having to go through the hassle of booting into custom recovery and waiting on the process to finish before you can use your phone again.
If you’re rooted with a custom recovery installed, this is the easiest way to make sure you’ll always have a backup handy. The easier it is to back things up, the more likely you’ll be to stay current on your backups.
I’m demonstrating this on my rooted Nexus 5, but the process should be very similar for other rooted Android devices with a custom recovery installed.
