We shot a long range match that started in the afternoon and went into the evening. Shooting at distances between 300 yards in daylight and 500+ yards in low light
We shot at moving targets as well as targets that were only presented for a short time. We also shot steel targets illuminated at dusk
This was a fun yet challenging shooting match that really brought us out of our comfort zone and required skills not used very often.
I shot an AR15 with iron sights, but the rest of the shooters were using everything from high end .308 (7.62×51) bolt guns to WWII surplus and everything in between
Optics were not required although they did help a lot in low light
Shooting matches like this one really test your skills, your gear and techniques
Check out the match schedule at your local shooting range and try shooting a type of match you ordinarily would not. It turned out to be a great afternoon and we met a lot of new shooters/
This was filmed at Three Points Shooting Range outside Tucson, AZ
