I have only seen reactions like this done with copper wire, or pennies. I’ve never seen it done with brass, muchless a rifle cartridge. Silver nitrate is basically silver that has been dissolved in nitric acid. The charged silver atoms are attracted to the brass and other metals in the rifle round and delicate hair-like crystals of silver form.
I had to compress and render each 30+ minute clip (from three cameras) three times in Sony Vegas to speed it up to around 30 seconds.
